Hubrecht Duijker, Vinpressionist
In the introduction (and on the title page) is mentioned that the book was inspired by Hubrecht Duijker’s Wijnkenner in een Weekend (2012).
Duijker started writing about wine even earlier, in 1969. His first book, a collection of newspaper articles Kleintje Wijn was published in 1973. His most recent publication, about art, dates from 2023. See his bibliography for the complete list, all 123.
Some of his books have been translated, like The Wine Atlas of France: And Traveller’s Guide to the Vineyards (1987), co-authored with Hugh Johnson, and The Bordeaux Atlas and Encyclopaedia of Chateaux (1997), co-authored with Michael Broadbent. The Wines of Rioja, a translation from De Goede Wijnen van Rioja (1985) won the Glenfiddich Award, 1988.
Duijker also made TV appearances with programmes about wine (in Dutch).
