Brian Wheaton spent almost 40 years in the wine trade, was a Master of Wine since 1967, at the end of his career mostly focused on wine education, well-qualified to present an introductory course about wine.
The course was published for Audible/Amazon in 2018 but recorded almost a decade earlier for Learn25, which explains the 25-minute length of each section (topic): 36 in total, covering the history, vineyards, how wine is made, major grapes, wines of Bordeaux, Burgundy, …, Germany, Italy, …, California, Chile, …, etc., wrapping up with buying and handling, wine and health, food matching, and the future of wine (from a 2009-perspective).
Although informative and instructive, the course no longer presents an accurate picture of the world of wine today (and perhaps a little too much targeted for Fred Olson’s ArtsClub cruise audience).
Brian Wheaton passed away in 2015. For an IM, see https://www.mastersofwine.org/in-memoriam/brian-wheaton-mw or in his own words https://brianthewine.wordpress.com/.
