Tessender
A scaldi incolunt Texuandri pluribus nominibus
Tessender is the modern spelling for Texuandri (Taxandria/Toxandrie), a Germanic tribe that during Roman times lived in the region today known as the Kempen, from Campania in medieval Latin, the fields between Scheldt and Meuse, in present day Brabant.
Not much is known about the Texuandri, perhaps named after the Taxus tree used to make fine bows.
